Position Summary

This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Student Clerical position for the Moore Family Center for Whole Grain Foods in the College of Public Health & Human Sciences (CPHHS) at Oregon State University (OSU).

This position will support the Moore Family Center office team to support/maximize the work conducted at the Moore Family Center through communications and events as well as general clerical support.

Position Duties

100% Provide support in matters pertaining to the Center. Primary duties include:

  • Assisting in event planning and management
  • Assisting with marketing and communication projects
  • Filing
  • Cleaning
  • General office coverage
Minimum Qualifications

Additional Required Qualifications
  • Must have strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have strong attention to detail in all work activities.
  • Must have the ability to follow detailed instructions and willingness to ask questions as needed.
  • Must have ability to work within fixed deadlines.
  • Must work well with others.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
  • Previous experience assisting with projects or events (e.g., planning and following through/implementation).
  • Previous experience in working in a collaborative environment.
  • Interest in healthy eating and/or cooking.
  • Current dietetic/nutrition student.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
  • This position will work in a typical office setting, for the majority of time. Work hours scheduled as student class schedule permits M-F, 8am-5pm.
  • However, events on and off campus will allow the student to work in a diverse environment and interact with the community but may require weekend or evening hours.
