Position Summary

This recruitment will be used to fill 1­-3 part­-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Student Illustrator positions for Extended Campus at Oregon State University (OSU).

This position will create illustrations and graphics intended for web-based delivery and used as objects in Open Educational Resources including Open Textbooks and Open courses. Provide other support for Open Oregon State.

Position Duties

Design and production of illustrations and graphics and other support for Open Oregon State which includes:

­ Design and create illustrations with direction from faculty authors for a browser based environment.

­ Develop educational graphics media and for web based textbooks and courses.

­ Create/design/edit electronic materials.

Minimum Qualifications

Additional Required Qualifications

­ Skilled and/or trained in illustration and computer­-aided drawing.

­ Experience with Photoshop, illustrator or other equivalent graphics programs.

­ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

­ Excellent computer skills which augment and support the efforts and duties of the position.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications

­ Skills in various graphics software.

­ A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule

Office environment.

Work schedule up to 20 hours/week available during the term.
