Position Summary

This recruitment seeks one part-time student
assistant for marketing and office support for The LaSells
Stewart Center (LSC) at Oregon State University. The successful
applicant will (up to 10 hours per week) assist LSC staff to
develop and edit web-based and printed marketing material and
assume responsibilities for a variety of clerical duties.

Position Duties

Under the direction of LSC staff, marketing
duties include website content management, assist in creation of
marketing materials (writing, editing, graphic design) for web,
print and social media. Office duties include running reports,
sending out reports, staffing front desk, answering phones,
producing event-related materials and other tasks as assigned.

Additional Required Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work as a team member and interact effectively with co-workers using a collaborative style
Ability to work independently, prioritize projects and pro-actively seek guidance from supervisors
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency/familiarity in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience with graphic design
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred (Special) Qualifications

Prior marketing experience
Experience working in a professional office environment
 Experience with Publisher, Adobe Creative Suite, Drupal 7 or
other relevant software products essential for digital media
creation
 Experience in website development, design and content management.
Willingness to learn new software as needed
 Familiarity of the new OSU branding

Working Conditions / Work Schedule

The student worker may be required to work up to an approximate 10 hours per week.
